Ron Gaskin and I collaborated to make SPLASH! happen as my piece for the LTT artists Biennial I co-curate at Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts on Toronto Island. For all of the multi-disciplinary artists there, it is a special art show to showcase work specifically inspired by our Island experience at the Centre. In the near future I'll be presenting My Other Island, paintings of Manhattan and Toronto Island together, both magical challenging places for me -- but I also look forward to seeing the many other artists' work, of which mine is only a small part. David Pelletier, Shadowland, Wende Bartley, Dale Morningstar, Alistair Dickson, these are only some of the outstanding names that were represented at the 2007 SPLASH! which also included great photos by Gordon Hertzman and a gold video by Eric Weinthal! The Toronto Sun did a great feature article.
