FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Annual Salon of Long Term Tenants at Gibraltar Point Center for the Arts
Gibraltar Point Center for the Arts opens its doors for a day of art and
music!
Coinciding with Toronto's ArtsWeek and Toronto Island's Rogue Wave, the Long
Term Tenants of GPCA come together annually in this first kickoff event to
present individual or collaborative works inspired by their own Island
experience. With the doors opening at 12 noon, the public are invited to
view video and sound installations, sculpture, and a diversity of art works
on the walls of the Center. From 7-10p.m., the salon evening will rock with
music from The Gas Station, a cash bar, and participating artists on hand to
talk about their work. The Long Term artist work studios at Gibraltar Point
Center for the Arts on Toronto Island are occupied by a mix of painters,
writers, performance artists, ceramists, sculptors, musicians, theatre
companies, and a recording studio. This annual arts event is a way for the
Long Term Tenants of Gibraltar Point to celebrate our ongoing association
with each other and the Island environment that inspires us.

association of arts professionals, working in the Toronto community, with
